The East Hampton Town Board voted unanimously on Tuesday, November 19, to adopt the Fiscal Year 2025 budget. The budget, which will pierce the state-imposed 2 percent cap on tax levy increases, takes effect on January 1, 2025. The vote followed a November 7 public hearing, which drew no comment. At the same meeting during which the public hearing was held, the board voted to override the 2 percent tax levy cap.
