Honor Flight Long Island’s fall flight to Washington, D.C. is set for Saturday, October 5. It will take 46 Long Island veterans to visit their respective military memorials, meet with service branch representatives, commiserate with fellow veterans and exchange stories. Largest Clam Contest Is September 29

The East Hampton Town Trustees will hold its 33rd annual Largest Clam Contest on Sunday, September 29, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Amagansett Life Saving Station. The band Hopefully Forgiven will perform live at the event. Participants must dig their largest clam between September 21 and 28. The contest is open to all resident shellfish license holders. There will be prizes for the largest clam harvested from Accabonac Harbor, Hog Creek, Three Mile Harbor, Napeague Harbor and Lake Montauk in both adult and junior categories. CMEE To Host 'Totally Taylor' Tribute Concert

The Children’s Museum of the East End will host its first-ever tribute concert Saturday, September 28, with New York’s number one Taylor Tribute act, Elizabeth Edquist. The event starts at 9:30 a.m. with Swift-themed crafts and the concert will begin promptly at 10 a.m. featuring 45 minutes of Swift’s greatest hits. The annual Shelter Island 5K Run/Walk in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month will take place Saturday, October 19, at 11 a.m., rain or shine at Crescent Beach.
