John E. Signorelli

John E. Signorelli of Hampton Bays died on Monday, January 21. He was 55.

A graduate of Westhampton Beach High School, Mr. Signorelli was a skilled carpenter who worked for Terry Contracting in Riverhead. He also assisted community members in improving their homes and recently volunteered at the Hampton Bays United Methodist Church, replacing the Thrift Shop roof.

Mr. Signorelli loved his family and his work, according to survivors. In his spare time, he enjoyed going on ski trips with his extended family and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Mr. Signorelli is survived by his wife, Janet (née Lach); his son, Evan; two brothers, Joseph Signorelli and his wife Carol of Selden and Scott Signorelli and his wife Roseanne of Medford; a sister, Barbara Conron and her husband Kevin of Centereach; his father in-law, Joseph S. Lach of Hampton Bays; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and in-laws.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Vilma Signorelli, and his mother in-law, Grace Lach.

Service were held at R.J. O’Shea Funeral Home in Hampton Bays on Friday, January 25. A funeral service was held at the Hampton Bays United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 26, and interment followed at Good Ground Cemetery in Hampton Bays.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Mr. Signorelli’s name to the Hampton Bays United Methodist Church, 158 West Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, NY 11946.
