The Southampton Town Disability Task Force (DATF) and the Southampton Union Free School District will host a free Disability Services Resource Fair on Saturday, November 2, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Hampton Bays Senior Center, located at 25 Ponquogue Avenue in Hampton Bays. The Mabel and Victor D’Amico Studio and Archive, known as The Art Barge, has been offered a challenge grant from The Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation Inc. To obtain the grant, a minimum of $5,000 must be raised specifically for the challenge by December 31, and the foundation will award a one-time matching grant in the same amount, up to $10,000. Christopher Gangemi will present a talk on birding at a brunch hosted by the Southampton Trails Preservation Society on Saturday, November 2. The lunch starts at noon at Edgewater Restaurant, 295 E. Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays. The talk, “Which Birds, Which Trails, Which Seasons” will highlight the locations and times to enjoy birdwatching while walking the trails. ChangeHampton is hosting a panel discussion, “Toward a New Land Ethic,” focused on principles and practices for ecological and human health, on Sunday, October 20, at 10:30 a.m. at the Nature Conservancy, 142 Route 114 in East Hampton.
