EAST HAMPTON — Jender Chamba-Camacho, 25, was arrested by East Hampton Town Police Sunday evening on misdemeanor DWI charges. It was the second time in five days that Chamba-Camacho was arrested on such charges. On June 25, he was arrested by Southampton Town Police after reportedly crashing off-road into a light post, a point not lost on East Hampton Town Justice Steven Tekulsky during Chamba-Camacho’s arraignment on Monday morning. Suffolk County Sherriff Erron Toulon and County Executive Ed Romaine warned drivers this week that the county will be rolling out a new anti-DWI campaign that will feature stepped-up enforcement of drinking and driving laws and public outreach to discourage drunk driving.
