Olive Kennedy of East Hampton and formerly of New York City died at her home on Wednesday, May 7. She was 82.

Mrs. Kennedy was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on November 3, 1925 to Anthony Dominytus and Mable Schluster. A resident of East Hampton for 43 years, she held an associate’s degree in business administration and worked as a personal secretary.

Mrs. Kennedy was cemetery director and an active member of the Most Holy Trinity Church in East Hampton. She was also the former president of the East Hampton Ladies Village Improvement Society, and a member of the Devon Yacht Club and the East Hampton Town Republican Committee.

She is survived by a son, Geoffrey H. Kennedy of East Hampton; a brother, Tom Dominytus of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; a sister, Lois Wherry of Pittsburgh; and 10 nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, John F. Kennedy.

A wake was held at the Yardley & 
Pino Funeral Home in East Hampton on May 11. A funeral mass was 
held at Most Holy Trinity Church in East Hampton on May 12; interment followed at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Olive Kennedy Scholarship Fund, 57 Buell Lane, East Hampton, NY 11937 would be appreciated by the family.
