Students Invited To Enter Essay Contest

The Society of Professional Journalists is accepting entires for its 2025 high school essay contest. The topic for applicants is “What is the biggest challenge journalists face today, and how might they overcome it?” The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, February 19. The contest is part of the SPJ Foundation of the Society of Professional Journalists and the Journalism Education Association goal to increase high school students’ knowledge and understanding of the importance of independent media to our lives. Project Most To Run Program During School Break

Project Most will offer a school vacation learning lab, a camp-like program, during the February school break. It is open for those in prekindergarten through eighth grade. Starting Monday, February 17, and continuing through the end of the week, Friday, February 21, the program hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parents/guardians may sign up students for some or all days.
