Faculty, administrators, staff and current students at Suffolk County Community College will welcome new and prospective students to an open house on Sunday, November 3, from noon to 2 p.m. Open house will take place at all three of the college’s campuses, including Riverhead, as well as its Culinary Arts and Hospitality Center in Riverhead. Ride & Wine Event Will Benefit i-tri

The annual Ride & Wine event to benefit i-tri is set for Saturday, October 5. The ride will start at 10:30 a.m. at Scoville Hall in Amagansett with two routes planned: 34 miles and 13 miles. Both will end at Scoville with a lunch and wine tasting afterward. The Amagansett start and finish are a change from the past events, which were held in Bridgehampton. 'Art From the Heart' Show To Benefit Food Pantry

The Southampton Artists Association will host a public reception for its “Art From the Heart” exhibit on October 26 at the Southampton Cultural Center, which will benefit Heart of the Hamptons. The show will remain on view through November 11. The SAA, a local group of painters, photographers, sculptors, and multimedia artists exhibits art together several times a year at the Levitas Art Gallery in the Southampton Cultural Center. ARF's Stroll to the Sea Is October 6

ARF’s annual Stroll to the Sea Dog Walk will take place on Sunday, October 6. The walk to Main Beach and back, about two-miles, will leave the Mulford Farm, 10 James Lane, East Hampton at 10 a.m. Gates open at 9 a.m. Besides the walk, there will be contests, prizes, food and live music by Sandy Rapp. Those who cannot make the walk are invited to walk on their own but register as a “virtual walker.” Registration starts at $40. Hamptons Observatory Has Two Lectures Planned

The Hamptons Observatory has virtual lectures planned in October and November. The October 15 lecture will be by Dr. Jason Williams, a project scientist for NASA’s Cold Atom Lab on the International Space Station. Car Wash Will Benefit OFVS Dancers' Performance at Disney

Our Fabulous Variety Show will host a car wash fundraiser on Saturday, October 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the East Hampton Middle School.
