The Express News Group hosted its latest Express Sessions panel discussion, “Does Hampton Bays Want Change?” on Thursday, October 27, at the Canoe PLace Inn and Cottages on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays.
The discussion attempted to answer the question: What should the former “Good Ground” do 100 years after its name change? Should it welcome the town, and a developer, taking an interest? Or simply do nothing?
The panel included Southampton Town Supervisor Jay Schneiderman, Town Councilman Rick Martel, Town Planning and Development Administrator Janice Scherer, and Hampton Bays residnets Ray D,Angelo and Gayle Lombardi.
The discussion was moderated by Executive Editor Joseph P. Shaw.
The next Sessions event, “Zero Bars: Seeking Solutions to the South Fork’s Spotty Cell Service” will be held on Thursday, November 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Clubhouse on Daniels Hole Road in East Hampton.
Panelists will include Cell Tower Specialist Andrew Campanelli, Sag Harbor Village Trustee Tom Gardella, Cell Project Advisor John Huber, Keith Kito of SBA Communications Corp., and East Hampton Town Supervisor Peter Van Scoyoc.
