At the most recent Amagansett School Board meeting, two parents were subjected to an uncivilized display of harassment from a parent and suspected member of the Parent Teachers Association. Some parents, a board member and several teachers applauded the verbal onslaught by this member of the community.
What’s the issue? Besides the fact that the school is found to have one New York State Education Department violation already? The growing allegations of acts by the School Board and school officials that, in my opinion, are not complying with the code of conduct, school policy and procedures, New York State Law, New York State Education Law, state comptroller policies, School Board Association policy, potential fraud, alleged acts of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, nepotism, cronyism and more. The School Board and school attorneys willfully ignore requests of parents for investigations. This, in my opinion, is to try to run out the statute of limitations.
This stems back to “10 parents, 10 teachers” in May 2023, what appears now to be the running out of town of Seth Turner, the Maria Dorr hearing, all to get Michael Rodgers to the top spot in the school. The consorted actions are taking shape.
Still here.
