“The power of one voice can shatter the silence of a crowd.”
A Play Written by Reginald Rose, Directed by Joe Minutillo
Set in the sweltering summer of 1958 Manhattan, 12 men meet in a jury room to decide the life or death of a teenage boy accused of murdering his father. Tensions run high as a lone juror argues the innocence of the accused murder. In this provocatively resonant American drama, 12 jurors from all strata of society revisit the evidence, and debate the issue of reasonable doubt. Personal issues soon rise to the surface, and conflict threatens to derail the delicate process that will decide one boy’s fate.
“It’s a powerful piece of social commentary but also wildly entertaining.”
“Twelve Angry Men gives a spectacular rendition of a classic tale of courage, heroism and the pursuit of justice in the face of adversity.”
“If you like your drama tense and driven by fierce and passionate characters, this one is for you!”
“An utterly compelling piece of theatre.”
Each performance will be followed by a Q&A talkback with Judges and other members of the judicial system.
