Take a 4-mile hike through Southampton’s most prestigious neighborhood to Cooper’s Beach -- often cited as the most beautiful beach in the US. The walk passes by spectacular estates and historic mansions lead by Tom Edmonds, director of the Southampton History Museum. The East Hampton Trails Preservation Society and the Southampton History Museum are co-sponsoring this event. Walking shoes for pavement are necessary on this 1 hour and 20-minute tour. A ½ mile walk on the beach is optional. Claude’s Restaurant at the Southampton Inn, 91 Hill Street serves lunch beginning at 12:00 noon.
