Auditions for Bram Stoker's Dracula, the Radio Play at Southampton Arts Center

Description:

Center Stage at Southampton Arts Center to Hold Open Auditions for the Philip Grecian adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, the Radio Play.
Open auditions for Philip Grecian’s adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula will be held on Sunday, May 4th at 5:00 PM at Southampton Arts Center, 25 Jobs Lane, Southampton.
Auditions begin promptly; late arrivals will be seen at the discretion of the director. Readings from the text will occur. Sides will be provided.
Michael Disher directs.
Performances of Dracula will be held on two weekends, October 17th through the 26th, 2025. Performance times are Fridays at 7:00, Saturdays at 7:00 and Sundays at 2:00.
Rehearsals will occur in September and October.
Bram Stoker’s brooding tale of seduction, power, eternal life, hungers and thirsts remains faithful to the source material. In all its gothic glory, this masterpiece is presented in radio format. Just in time for Halloween, Dracula, oddly enough, is seldom staged. “I am drawn to gothic literature and Dracula may well be one of the finest examples of the genre. Plus, presenting literature on stage is important to Center Stage – and to me,” Disher stated.
Those auditioning should wear suitable clothing and shoes for an audition and have a flexible schedule. Most rehearsals are scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays during the day. Casting will be immediate as rehearsals begin in September. Minimal rehearsals, memorization required. Non-union only.
