Join Long Island fiber artist Oksana Danziger as she shares her knowledge of “hot” wax batik. This technique of painting on fabric starts with drawing an image with hot wax and filling in the color with fabric dyes. The wax applied acts as a barrier to prevent colors from bleeding. The wax creates a painterly, free hand surface with ornamental crackle in the background.
