Jeff Goldblum’s storied career now spans 6 decades of award winning work as a starring actor in film, television and theater. He’s also produced both film and television, and he’s an Oscar nominated director for his short feature film, “Little Surprises”.
Goldblum’s cinema credits include critical hits including “The Big Chill”, “The Grand Budapest Hotel”, and “The Fly”—and box office behemoths Independence Day, Jurassic Park, and Thor RAGNORAK. In addition, Jeff’s been Emmy nominated for his work on “Will and Grace” and for his National Geographic/Disney Plus romp, “The World According to Jeff Goldblum” which he also executive produced. On the stage, Goldblum has starred in Broadway productions including “The Pillowman” and “Domesticated”, and the London production of “Speed the Plow”.
In addition, on August 29, Netflix will be premiering its new epic series, “KAOS”, in which Goldblum will be featured in the leading role as “Zeus”. Shortly thereafter, he stars opposite Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo as “The Wizard of Oz” in the film adaptation of the Broadway megahit WICKED which premiers on Thanksgiving Day.
Jeff launched the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra 30 years ago. Since then, he and his band have performed for delighted audiences throughout the United States and all over the world playing contemporary arrangements of classic jazz and American songbook standards.
The group has released three albums, all on Decca Records, and has featured brilliant guest artists including Gregory Porter, Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus, Fiona Apple, Freda Payne, Haley Reinhart, Imelda May and more. MSO continue to record with new music on the way.
As Goldblum has said, “Geez, I go totally crazy about sharing these groovy tunes but, i gotta tell ya, I get equally enchanted by the fascinating folks who turn up for the experience!”
So, for the record, he might get a little chatty.
This performance will feature Goldblum on piano, John Storie on guitar, Alex Frank on bass, Joe Bagg on organ, Scott Gilman, Jacob Scesney on sax and Ryan Shaw on drums. The featured vocalist is Tawanda.
