LTV Studios Celebrates 40th Anniversary With Its First Ever Fundraising Event

Description:

LTV Studios has announced they will host Printaganza, an art auction benefit gala on Sunday, August 4, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at LTV Studios in Wainscott. Featuring the work of more than 100 artists, including: Godfather of Printmaking Dan Welden; Honored Artist John Alexander; the HOODOO LOUNGERS, who will be performing; and a live art auction hosted by comedian and television personality Bill McCuddy.

Printaganza features all of the very best LTV Studios has to offer, highlighting everything it can be and do for the community. This event is an extraordinary crossroads where broadcast, filmmaking, visual arts, printmaking, performing arts, music, science and fundraising all intersect and culminate in a magical benefit gala!

Guests will be welcomed to LTV Studios, greeted with a live outdoor cello performance by Laurinel Owen who will be on the “patio” along with refreshments from our generous sponsors Channing Daughters Winery (https://www.channingdaughters.com/) and Kidd Squid Brewing Co. (https://kiddsquid.com). Upon entering, guests will be surrounded by the silent auction and raffle gallery where bidding will be a flurry! The action continues, leading into LTV’s Studio 3 main-event space where lite bites will be served with the HOODOO LOUNGERS taking the stage, playing their very robust and danceable rhythms. At 5:45 LTV’s own Jason Nower will premier his short film on the making of Printaganza, followed by the live auction with our witty and urbane host Bill McCuddy. The night concludes, post-auction, with dancing as the HOODOO LOUNGERS retake the stage.

The Silent Auction features early online bidding, available NOW, and can be found at https://ltv.betterworld.org/. BetterWorld is a social impact venture built to support nonprofits, individuals, and businesses that serve their communities. Over 70 works on paper are open to bidding starting at $50, and raffle ticket entries are also available onsite at LTV Studios all summer until the end of this Gala event. Other adventurous items available for auction include: The Ultimate Top Gun Experience, Tickets to the Masters Golf Tournament, Go to the American Music Awards, or win a Tour of Tuscany. Displayed in the LTV Studios lobby all summer is one of the John Alexander’s edition pieces “Whoops” - a charming monkey image available in the online raffle and valued at $3500, with raffle entries starting at only $25. In-person bidding takes place electronically with QR codes that lead back to the auction site. The event will also have a live paddle auction with 15 of the top, highest value items featured on the site. All winners will be notified electronically at the close of the auction on 8/4 at 6:30PM.

BONUS: Don’t miss the unveiling of a special Mystery Print which will be put up for live auction, provided by a special, secret internationally known artist whose works are in the MOMA, the Met and the Guggenheim; and whose identity will be revealed onstage by Auctioneer McCuddy.

Printaganza is a chance to meet and mingle with dozens of local artists who gathered together during one magical weekend in March to create these one-of-a-kind monotypes. This huge event was also filmed and will be televised on LTV this summer.

The Gala event ticket also includes entry to the private preview of the screening of Lasting Impressions at LTV earlier the same day, 8/4 at 2:30PM. This film features celebrated Hamptons artists Dan Welden, Eric Fischl, Kiki Smith, Alice Aycock, Roy Nicholson, Helen Harrison & Justin Greenwald. The film is by Carl Welden, Lars Lunde and Lundegard Productions and was filmed on location in Sag Harbor NY.

All proceeds from this Gala will benefit LTV Studios, and the Inspiration Plus Foundation (http://www.inspirationplus.org/), whose focus is on improving the lives of individuals of all ages through education with science, art and music. Inspiration Plus (IP), a 503 C organization, seeks to encourage curiosity, learning and creative expression by bringing awareness to the arts and sciences. Through art exhibits, performances, readings, forums and concerts, IP aims to build community while supporting a sustainable arts initiative.
