Joyce Raimondo, Education Coordinator, leads an informal presentation about how artists express grief through painting. A discussion of Lee Krasner’s painting following Jackson Pollock's untimely death is discussed along with artists Edvard Munch, Pablo Picasso, Frida Kahlo, and others. Each artwork serves as a springboard for discussion about the grieving process and participation is welcomed. This program is inspired, in part, by Joyce’s loss of her brother as a teenager and the discovery of an enormous strength she found through art.
This special workshop is given as we approach the Holidays as this season can be especially difficult for people who are grieving. This program is free with registration.
