Discussing the Hamptons Dining Scene

The East Hampton Library will kick off the 2025 Tom Twomey Series this Saturday, April 5, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. with “Savoring Success: The Rise of the Hamptons Dining Scene.”

In this panel discussion, top local restaurateurs Joe Realmuto of Nick & Toni’s, Carol Covell of The 1770 House and Jason Weiner of Almond will speak about their influential roles in shaping the Hamptons dining scene. With decades of firsthand experience, they’ll share behind-the-scenes stories about how the Hamptons evolved into a premier culinary destination and reflect on its journey to excellence. The discussion will be moderated by New York Times food writer Florence Fabricant.

Admission is free. The program will be presented in the library’s Baldwin Family Lecture Room. Reservations are requested but not required. For additional information and to reserve a seat, visit: tomtwomeyseries.org. The Tom Twomey Series was established in memory of the late Tom Twomey (1914-2014), the former chairman of the library’s board of managers.

Cooking Class With Chef Alex at R.AIRE

R.AIRE at The Hampton Maid will host a Cooking Class with Chef Alex this Sunday, April 6, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Guests will master the art of cooking authentic Spanish tapas and paella while sipping Spanish wine.

Chef Alex Bujoreanu, who hails from Spain, has created a menu featuring authentic tapas and paella, inspired by his home in the Mediterranean. Products are sourced seasonally, both locally and imported directly from Spain. Everything is as fresh as possible and made in house including all stocks, cured meats and fish. Dishes are prepared in a healthful way, without the use of butter or processed flour. R.AIRE’s wine selection, consisting of over 70 varieties is hand-selected by the chef himself and features limited edition wines.

The cost of the cooking class is $150 per person, plus tax and gratuity and can be purchased at bit.ly/4irNS75. For more information, visit hamptonmaid.com/raire or call 631-728-4184.

R.AIRE at The Hampton Maid is at 259 East Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays.

Pizza by the Slice

Cluckman’s in Sag Harbor is introducing a new addition to its menu — and it’s what everyone’s been missing since ConcoDoro left town. Cluckman’s is now serving slices from Pizza Pizza family-friendly New York City shop. Slices start at $3.75 and gourmet special slices are $5. Andrew Barrada of Sag Pizza fame helped Cluckman’s refine its pizza skills and they can now be purchased every day — with both slices and pies to stay or to go.

Cluckman’s is at 22 Long Island Avenue in Sag Harbor. For more information, visit cluckmans.com or call 631-919-5039.
