Dry January at Sen

On Sunday, January 12, from 6 to 9 p.m., start the new year right with Sen’s Dry January Chef’s Dinner, an alcohol-free feast to nourish both body and soul. Each dish included in the Chef’s Dinner will be crafted with wholesome, nutrient-rich ingredients designed to energize and refresh. From protein-packed scallops to fiber-filled avocado mousse, this menu perfectly balances health and flavor, paired with Sen’s handcrafted mocktails for a guilt-free indulgence.

The Menu Features:

Scallop Usuzukuri — Thinly sliced Hokkaido scallop served with a vibrant blood orange compote, coconut aminos and finger lime caviar. A refreshing start that balances zesty and savory flavors.

Shirataki Noodle Ramen Konjac — Noodles in a rich 48-hour bone broth, topped with a soft-boiled egg, roasted chicken, scallion, sweet potato, and a drizzle of chili crisp. A comforting, yet light, twist on a classic favorite.

Naruto Rainbow Roll — A colorful medley of yellowtail tuna, salmon, shiso and avocado, elegantly wrapped in crisp cucumber. Fresh and flavorful with every bite.

Korean Short Ribs Tender — A savory short ribs served over cauliflower ginger fried rice and garnished with sautéed spring onions. A fusion of bold Korean spices and healthy innovation.

Avocado Chocolate Mousse — A velvety mousse made with rich avocado, topped with whipped coconut cream and sesame honey brittle. A decadent dessert that’s guilt-free and full of flavor.

So raise a fork, not a glass, this Sunday. The cost is $65 per person. Visit senrestaurant.com for details. Sen Restaurant is at 23 Main Street in Sag Harbor.

Winter Restaurant Week

The tri-annual Long Island Restaurant Week is returning and will warm up the winter season with an opportunity for diners to check out a number of Long Island restaurants in the off season.

The winter edition of Long Island Restaurant Week will take place from Sunday, January 26, to Sunday, February 2, with several prix fixe options. Restaurants may offer a $24 two-course lunch, a $29 three-course dinner menu, a $39 three-course dinner menu and/or a $46 three-course dinner prix fixe. Restaurants may offer one, two or any combination of the four prix fixes during the promotion. Each restaurant is required to offer three options per course (appetizer, entrée and dessert) for dinner. Participating restaurants must offer the $24 two-course lunch prix fixe, $29, $39 or $46 three-course dinner prix fixe all night every night they are open (or during lunch hours) from Sunday to Sunday, with the exception of Saturday when it may only be offered until 7 p.m.

Back by popular demand, the Gift Card Giveaway returns for the winter promotion and diners have the option to enter to win one of three gift cards to be redeemed at a participating restaurant of their choice. To enter, diners must visit the Long Island Restaurant Week website between midnight on Monday, January 20, and Monday, February 3, at 11:59 p.m. and input their information. Winners will be selected on or around Friday, February 7, and will be notified via telephone or email.

“What better way to celebrate the cold days of winter than with a delicious affordable warm meal,” said Nicole Castillo of Long Island Restaurant and Hospitality Group. “We are expecting over 150 restaurants to participate this winter in offering discount meals for Winter Long Island Restaurant Week. With diners sharing that almost 50 percent of them dine out more than once during restaurant week, it is lining up to be quite a busy week.”

On the East End, participating restaurants include: Bistro Été and Calissa in Water Mill, Bridgehampton Inn & Restaurant in Bridgehampton, Centro 336 in Hampton Bays, LDV at The Maidstone and Nick & Toni’s in East Hampton, Page Sag Harbor, and the Stone Creek Inn in East Quogue.
