Winter Menu Dazzles at The American Hotel

For over 50 years, The American Hotel has served up sumptuous dining for all who walk through its doors. The Hotel’s Winter Menu includes irresistible fare — flavors and aromas to satisfy any discerning patron. Of special note are the Daily Evening Dining Promotions available through May 2024.

The menu includes: Monday – Prime Rib; Tuesday – Dollar Oysters; Wednesday – Limitless Lobster; Thursday – Moules & Muscadet; Friday – Paella & Albarino.

Each wintry holiday season, The American Hotel shows its appreciation for East End residents — its devoted customers — with a special 30 percent off “Winter Gift Card.” The gift card can be purchased now through December 24 at this holiday discount. This time limited gift card can be purchased for a minimum of $150 and the following values — $200, $250, $300, $500, $1000. These special discount Gift Cards can be redeemed from January 1, 2024, through Memorial Day 2024, and cannot be combined with any other special discounts such as happy hour. The card cannot be redeemed for cash and the unused value remains on the card after each use.

Hamptons Eats is offering 12 days of giveaways each day from December 10 to 22. Enter in store to win. The specials, subject to change, are as follows:

Thursday, December 7, through Monday, December 11: Appetizer of potato latkes with Halsey apple sauce, sour cream and chives (three per order) for $16; Entrée of braised beef brisket with baby carrots, apples, cranberries and fresh horseradish for $38; dessert of chocolate rugelach for $12.

Tuesday, December 12, through Friday, December 15: Soup of beet purée with horseradish cream for $14; Entrée of roasted poussin with roasted garlic mash and roasted parsnips for $36; dessert of apple cake with honey roasted apple compote and sliced candied pecans for $12.

Hanukkah at Nick & Toni’s

Nick & Toni’s and Rowdy Hall will be celebrating Hanukkah with a la carte specials, available from Thursday, December 7, through Friday, December 15. Nick & Toni’s is at 136 North Main Street, East Hampton. Reservations are recommended at 631-324-3550 or nickandtonis.com.

Thursday, December 7, to Sunday, December 10: amuse of chopped chicken liver crostini; appetizer of potato latkes with house-cured salmon and crème fraiche for $24; entrée of braised beef short ribs, maple whipped sweet potatoes and root vegetables for $46; dessert of raspberry jelly filled donut with chocolate sauce for $15.

Wednesday, December 13, through Friday, December 15: amuse of smoked salmon salad, crème fraiche, chives on cucumber; appetizer of roasted beet soup and herb crème fraiche for $16; entrée of braised lamb shank, sweet potato tzimmes and pomegranate gremolata for $44; dessert of berry Linzer torte for $15.

Brunch With the Big Man

Claudio’s Tavern and Grill in Greenport will host a Santa Brunch on Sunday, December 10, and Sunday, December 17, from noon to 3 p.m. Guests will enjoy a la carte brunch items while sipping on their special cocktail, the Merry Berry. A craft station will be set up and children are welcome to decorate gingerbread cookies while they wait to visit Santa. There will be no cost to attend and guests are encouraged to take photos with Santa.

Santa Claus will make a visit to Canoe Place Inn & Cottages in Hampton Bays on Sunday, December 10, for a special yuletide brunch. New Stuart’s Seafood Menu

Stuarts Seafood has a new menu that’s available every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The takeout menu offers some tasty options for everyone, from homemade soups and salads to seafood platters and tacos. Lobster roll, tuna poke, crispy chicken and fries, crabby BLT, fisherman’s platter, crab cakes, tempura shrimp and chowders are some of the offerings.
