Almond Artists & Writers Series

Almond Restaurant (1 Ocean Road, Bridgehampton. 631-537-5665, almondrestaurant.com) continues its “Artists & Writers” dinner series on Tuesday, January 7, at 6:30 p.m. featuring artist Isla Hansen. A three-course family-style meal will be served with one glass of wine or draft beer for $59 including gratuity. Isla Hansen is an artist based on the East End and in Pittsburgh. She makes objects, tools, toys, sculptures, performances, systems, interactive installations, animations, workshops and videos. Hansen is currently an artist in residence at the Mattress Factory museum in Pittsburgh, where her solo show “How To Get To Make Believe” is on view through March of 2025. In Pittsburgh she also teaches sculpture and installation at the School of Art at Carnegie Mellon University. On the East End, Hansen is co-director of programming at The Folly Tree Arboretum in Springs, where she also directs the summer Storytelling Workshop for kids.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve on the East End With a Night on the Town

North Fork

The Frisky Oyster (27 Front Street, Greenport. 631-477-4265, thefriskyoyster.com) will have three seatings on New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, December 31, beginning at 5 p.m. and ending with a countdown to 2025 at midnight. Reservations are a must.

Little Fish (50 North Sea Drive, Southold. 631 765-8756, littlefishnofo.com) celebrates New Year’s Eve as more than a one-night only affair. Kick things off with live music Friday and Saturday night, December 27 and 28, in addition to holiday drink and food specials. The New Year’s Eve party on Tuesday, December 31, starts at 5 p.m. with no tickets or cover fees, but table reservations are required. Chef Ryan has planned a special menu, further complimented by a performance from Frank Palmiere, late-night DJ, and a complimentary New Year’s Eve toast.

Riverhead

Tweeds Restaurant & Buffalo Bar (17 East Main Street, Riverhead. 631-208-3151, tweedsrestaurantriverhead.com) will be open 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. A holiday menu and full dinner menu are both available.

Sag Harbor

The American Hotel (45 Main Street. 631-725-3535, theamericanhotel.com) will serve an early bird precelebration prix fixe on Tuesday, December 31, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. for $125. A New Year’s Eve gala follows with a late dinner deluxe prix fixe for $175 served from 9 p.m. to midnight. New Year’s Day luncheon will be served from noon to 4 p.m. from the a la carte menu.

Baron’s Cove (31 West Water Street, 844-227-6672, caperesorts.com/barons-cove) hosts a New Year’s Eve party on Tuesday, December 31, accented by live music, dining and lively atmosphere all the way to midnight. The restaurant will host a choice of two New Year’s Eve seatings — 6 p.m. ($125) and 9 p.m. ($175) with live music, party favors and midnight Champagne toast to ring in 2025.

East Hampton

The 1770 House Restaurant & Inn (143 Main Street, 631-324-1770, 1770house.com) will offer a New Year’s Eve menu from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, with Chef Michael Rozzi presenting a three-course menu for $125. Menus may be enjoyed with Champagne and sparkling wine selections overseen by wine director Michael Cohen including two by the glass ($16 to $24), four by the half-bottle ($50 to $275), and nine selections by the bottle. On New Year’s Day, The 1770 House will be serving Chef Rozzi’s $65 two-course menu upstairs and downstairs, along with an a la carte menu in the Tavern. New Year’s Day is the last chance for photos in the parlor with The 1770 House’s spectacularly decorated Christmas tree and holiday decorations.

Rowdy Hall (177 Main Street, 631-324-8555, rowdyhall.com) celebrates Hanukkah from Thursday, December 26, through Friday, December 29 with a la carte specials beginning at 5 p.m. The regular a la carte menu will also be available. The specials include potato latkes, red wine braised beef brisket and olive oil cake. On New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, lunch and dinner will be available and in addition to the regular menu, specials include pumpkin lobster bisque, surf & turf and vanilla bean custard.

Bostwick’s Seafood Market (283 Pantigo Road, East Hampton. 631-324-2700, bostwicksseafoodmkt.com) is offering party platters to go for the holiday season. Sample platters available include chicken wings, baked clams, lobster dinners, Mongolian BBQ ribs, lobster quesadillas, steamed mussels and clams, raw bar, soba noodles and salads, crab cakes, lobster corn cakes, spring rolls, kebabs and more. Platters are available in all sizes and custom platters may be ordered by phone. The takeout menu will be available December 26 to 29 from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. The market will be open until 2 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and closed New Year’s Day.

Bridgehampton

Almond Restaurant (1 Ocean Road, 631-537-5665, almondrestaurant.com) hosts a New Year’s Eve party beginning at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, with Champagne toasts, a locally sourced five course menu and dancing. Earlier in the evening, the a la carte menu and some specials will be served. Or just drop in for snacks and cocktails at the bar.

Art of Eating (264 Butter Lane, 631-267-2411, hamptonsartofeating.com) celebrates the season with its iconic holiday catering to go menu, available for preorders. Place orders for New Year’s Eve by December 28, for pickup on December 31.

Water Mill

Calissa (1020 Montauk Highway, 631-500-9292, calissahamptons.com) will offer a New Year’s Eve prix fixe option dinner on Tuesday, January 31, for $95. Champagne selections include Veuve Clicquot Brut or Veuve Clicquot Rosé by the glass and bottle. A beverage package is also for $95 from 9 p.m. to midnight, including standard spirits, sommelier-selected wines, and beer. DJ Hugo will begin spinning at 9:30 p.m. and the party concludes at 2 a.m.

Hampton Bays

R.AIRE at The Hampton Maid (259 East Montauk Highway, 631-728-4166, hamptonmaid.com/raire) celebrates New Year’s Eve on Tuesday, December 31, with a three-course menu, an amuse bouche and Champagne toast. Seating is available from 6 to 10 p.m., with live music by The Barroom Girls from 7 to 10 p.m. Dinner menu is $150 per person.

Canoe Place Inn Tavern (239 East Montauk Highway, 631-763-6300, canoeplace.com) will serve a multi-course New Year’s Eve dinner, Champagne and specialty cocktails, accompanied by lively festive music. The cost is $115.
