Thanksgiving Day is Thursday, November 23, and if you’re looking to avoid the kitchen duties this year, there are plenty of restaurants on the East End that will be happy to have you as their guests.
Hampton Bays
R.AIRE at The Hampton Maid (259 East Montauk Highway. 631-728-4184, hamptonmaid.com/dine) will be serving a three-course prix fixe dinner featuring traditional and nontraditional Thanksgiving dishes from 3 to 7:30 p.m. The cost is $75 and the menu can be viewed on the website. Reservations can be made online or by calling.
Southampton
Clamman Seasons of Southampton (235A North Sea Road. 631-283-3354, clammanseasons.com) will be serving its annual Thanksgiving Dinner as a three-course meal including seasonal, traditional fares and seafood for $49.95. A children’s plate of chicken fingers and fries is $19.95. Make reservations. A takeout option is also available. Pick up Thanksgiving Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Delivery is available for an additional fee.
Claude’s Restaurant at the Southampton Inn (91 Hill Street. 631-283-6500, southamptoninn.com/restaurant) will be serving breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. and a traditional Thanksgiving dinner from 1 to 5 p.m. Adults $46 and $18 for children under 12 (plus tax and gratuity). Citarella Fine Foods in Southampton (20 Hampton Road. 631-283-6600, citarella.com) will be serving a meal for four for $299 that includes a turkey breast or for eight for $499 that includes the full turkey, and both meals come with a range of sides. For an additional charge, the turkey can be cooked for you. Citarella also has a la carte options available, see the website for details. Orders will be available for pick up or local delivery on Tuesday, November 21, and Wednesday, November 22. Citarella will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
Southampton Publick House (62 Jobs Lane. 631-283-2800, publick.com) is offering a three-course prix fixe dinner from 1 to 7 p.m. for $45 per person. For children 10 and under, a two-course turkey dinner and dessert menu is $19.95. Reservations strongly suggested.
Sag Harbor
The American Hotel (45 Main Street. 631-725-3535, theamericanhotel.com) will be serving a four-course Thanksgiving Dinner including a welcome glass of prosecco, soup and salad, a variety of entree options and dessert for $125 per person, $65 for children 12 and under. Reservations can be made in advance online or via phone.
Baron’s Cove (31 West Water Street. 844-227-6672, caperesorts.com/barons-cove) is serving a Thanksgiving Day prix fixe menu from 2 to 9 p.m. which includes an appetizer, soup or salad, entree and dessert for $95 per person. The menu is available online. Reservations strongly recommended.
Lulu Kitchen and Bar (126 Main Street, Sag Harbor. 631-725-0900, lulusagharbor.com) will be open for Thanksgiving offering a traditional turkey entrée from noon to 8 p.m. A holiday-themed entrée of roasted turkey with cranberry sauce, chestnut-sunchoke stuffing, sweet potato soufflé, roasted lemon-brussels sprouts and house gravy will be offered. Cost is $98 for two (plus tax and gratuity). Kids portion is half price featuring a smaller portion. The regular à la carte menu will also be available. Reservations are recommended and can be made on RESY or by calling the restaurant directly. A takeout package will also be available for the Thanksgiving holiday along with add-on sides and canapes. Schiavoni’s Market (48 Main Street.631-725-0366, schiavonismarket.com) offers family dinners for eight to 10 people for $499.95, or $299.94 for four or five people, as well as individual dinners for $59.95, including all the traditional fixings. Fresh all-natural and organic turkeys are available. The market will be open on Thanksgiving Day from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Bridgehampton
L&W Market (2493 Montauk Highway. 631-463-8171, landwmarket.com/thanksgiving-menu-lw-market) is offering a special catering menu in celebration of Thanksgiving. Orders may be placed online and all orders must be placed by Monday, November 20, at 6 p.m. Pick up will be available on Wednesday, November 22, from 3 to 5 p.m. or on Thanksgiving Day between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
East Hampton
1770 House Restaurant & Inn (143 Main Street. 631-324-1770, 1770house.com) will offer a three course Thanksgiving feast starting at 2 p.m. in the dining room or the Tavern for $135. Wine pairings by wine director Michael Cohen are available. Call for reservations. The restaurant will also be serving the Thanksgiving feast to go, which serves six to eight guests, starting at $500. All that needs cooking is the 15-pound organic Amish turkey trussed with herbs and house spice blend. Estimated cooking time is three hours with instructions and meat thermometer included. Five cooked and prepared sides, gravy and dinner rolls need only reheating. Menus are available online. Orders must be made by calling by Saturday, November 18, for pick up Wednesday, November 22, from 2 to 3 p.m.
Nick & Toni’s (136 North Main Street, East Hampton, 631-324-3550, nickandtonis.com) will be celebrating Thanksgiving with a special “Thanksgiving at Home” menu. All orders must be placed by Friday, November 17, at 4 p.m. and pick-ups will take place on Wednesday, November 22, between 3 to 5 p.m. The restaurant will be closed on Thanksgiving. Hampton Eats (74 North Main Street East Hampton, 631-604-6600, hampton-eats.com) is taking the stress out of Thanksgiving dessert with freshly baked pies and tarts available for preorder for the holiday. All desserts may be ordered up to one day in advance for pick up. Orders may be placed by calling or stopping by Hamptons Eats. Hampton Eats will be open Thanksgiving Day from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Montauk
Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa (290 Old Montauk Highway. 631-668-2345, gurneysresorts.com) celebrates the beginning of the holiday season with a four-course prix fixe Thanksgiving dinner accompanied by à la carte beverage service and specialty cocktails from noon to 8 p.m. The cost is $150 per person, $70 for children 12 and under. Offerings include a vibrant roasted pumpkin salad, flavorful bourbon glazed pork belly, a classic turkey dinner and more. End the dinner with a choice of Dutch apple crumble or a candied pumpkin tart.
Greenport
Claudio’s Tavern and Grill (111 Main Street. 631-477-0627, claudios.com) is celebrating Thanksgiving with its second annual bountiful Thanksgiving buffet on Thursday, November 23, from noon to 6 p.m. There will be activities for the kids, a cider station with delicious beverages for both children and adults and more. Cost for the buffet is $75 for adults and $35 for children 3 to 10 years old and free for children ages 3 and under. Reservations are recommended and can be made by visiting opentable.com.
Riverhead
