Moby’s, the East Hampton restaurant by Nick Hatsatouris and Lincoln Pilcher, is returning in 2018, but at a new location: East Hampton Point.
Moby’s was a summer hotspot from 2014 to 2016. It was absent from the Hamptons dining scene in 2017 and its former location, 341 Pantigo Road, became EMP Summer House, a pop-up by celebrated Manhattan restaurant Eleven Madison Park. The seasonal EMP Summer House will be back there this year, from May 24 through Labor Day.
Moby’s new location, at 295 Three Mile Harbor Hog Creek Road, has the added benefit of being on the water—East Hampton Point is a marina and resort. The restaurant space has two kitchens and two bars, and seats more than 250.
Tony Cerio, an associate real estate broker with Brown Harris Stevens, said last month that Mr. Hatsatouris and Mr. Lincoln Pilcher are in the process of interviewing several candidates to find a chef. “They assured me it will be a top notch person,” he said.
He anticipates opening day for the new Moby’s will be a week before Memorial Day. Memorial Day falls on May 28 this year.
Efforts to reach Mr. Hatsatouris and Mr. Pilcher were unsuccessful.
