Bell & Anchor in Sag Harbor and Almond Restaurant and Art of Eating, both in Bridgehampton, have all recently been awarded Slow Food East End’s Snail of Approval.

The Snail of Approval recognizes businesses that incorporate the slow food ideals of good, clean and fair food into all aspects of their food operation, according to Slow Food East End, a chapter of the nonprofit Slow Food USA.

Bell & Anchor, a “seafood-centric” eatery, focuses on sourcing ingredients from local, seasonal and sustainable offerings, Slow Food East End noted, while lauding Almond for its locally sourced cuisine that features the names of its suppliers on its menu as a way to educate and connect customers with its suppliers. Slow Food East End said Art of Eating, a catering and event planning company, is committed to sourcing local farmers, foragers and fishermen in every dish it provides.
