Almond Restaurant in Bridgehampton will continue its monthly Artists & Writers Night dinner series on Wednesday, November 2, with host Alice Hope.
Ms. Hope, who earned a Master of Fine Arts at Yale University, has been an exhibiting artist since the late 1980s. She often incorporates the repetition of binary code into her works. She has created numerous public and residential commissions, including a large-scale work titled “Under the Radar” at Camp Hero State Park in Montauk for the Parrish Art Museum. Last spring, she had a solo show at Ricco Maresca Gallery in Manhattan.
Artists & Writers Night will feature a family-style three-course meal by Almond executive chef Jason Weiner. The $45 cost of admission includes dinner, a glass of local wine or craft beer, and gratuity. The event begins at 7 p.m. Reservations are required. Call 631-537-5665.
Long Island Restaurant Week, offering three-course dinners for a fixed price of $27.95, begins Sunday, October 30, and several local restaurants are participating.
On the South Fork, The Patio at 54 Main in Westhampton Beach, Stone Creek Inn in East Quogue, 1 North Steakhouse, Rumba and Cowfish in Hampton Bays, Le Charlot, Southampton Publick House and Union Cantina in Southampton, Topping Rose House in Bridgehampton, Baron’s Cove and Page at 63 Main in Sag Harbor, The Living Room at c/o The Maidstone and The 1770 House in East Hampton, and East by Northeast in Montauk will take part.
North Fork participants include Bistro 72, Tweed’s, Stonewalls and Farm Country Kitchen in Riverhead, Jamesport Manor Inn and Jedediah Hawkins in Jamesport, Cooperage Inn in Calverton, La Plage in Wading River, Caci North Fork in Southold, Touch of Venice in Cutchogue, Pace’s Dockside in Mattituck and Legends in New Suffolk.
