The restaurant site in Springs that was previously known as Wolfie’s Tavern has undergone a renovation and redesign and is now the Springs Tavern, under the ownership of Charlene and Dan DeSmet.
Chef Michael Ruggiero helms the kitchen, which prepares American pub fare. He’s worked at such local venues as Nick & Toni’s, Harvest on Fort Pond, Fresno and Montauk Lake Club.
The Springs Tavern will also offer live music and the opportunity to catch major league sports on eight 4K televisions with a multi-zone eight-speaker sound system.
The redesign includes the restoration of the dining room’s original hardwood floor, and the addition of an oak bar. The walls are decorated with wainscoting and historical photos of Springs, East Hampton and the previous iterations of the tavern.
The Springs Tavern is currently serving dinner Thursday through Sunday from 4 to 10 p.m. and the bar is open daily from 11 a.m. to closing.
The address is 15 Fort Pond, East Hampton. Call 631-527-7800 or visit thespringstavern.com for reservations or more information.
