An 8,000-square-foot transitional with new interiors by Meredith Baer on an acre in Amagansett has sold for $8.98 million.

The six-bedroom, eight-bathroom home at 138 Bluff Road built in 2007 has three levels of living space. A double-height paneled entry with oak floors welcomes guests and leads to a great room with a fireplace. The large eat-in kitchen has professional-grade appliances and a sitting area to one side, and a dining area to the other.

A ground floor guest suite has a luxurious bathroom, an adjacent sitting room/office and access to the grounds, according to the Corcoran listing. A powder room and laundry area complete the first floor. A series of French doors open to a covered patio, with a fireplace, that overlooks a 50-foot negative-edge pool with a raised spa.

The principal suite, with a fireplace and private balcony, has a spa-like bathroom with dual vanities and a jacuzzi. Three additional en-suite bedrooms access a sitting area.

The newly refinished lower level offers a screening room, a guest or staff bedroom with sitting area and outside access, a full bathroom with steam shower, a 600-bottle wine cellar with a tasting room, a laundry center, a powder room, and storage closets.

A pool house is complete with a kitchenette, a bathroom and full basement for off-season storage.

Gary DePersia of Corcoran had the listing.

The deal closed on September 13, according to The Real Estate Report Inc. The seller was Stonywell House LLC and the new owner is Pegasus Bluff LLC.
