In addition to celebrating its 10th year in business, Flynn+Stott of Southampton now has a new name, new staff and expanded services.

Now named Steelbone Design Company, the new company launched in July and the former Flynn+Stott Architects has added graphic design and engineering practice services to its mainstay architectural-based business. Carrying on the foundation created by Flynn+Stott, Steelbone will continue to offer corporate, residential and civic architectural services.

According to principal Richard Stott, the firm is the first and only of its kind to offer this type of combined service package on the East End.

“We had been working with Pepi Design Group for graphic design services but we didn’t have engineering component ... that’s new,” he said last Thursday. “It just seemed to make sense to offer it all under one umbrella.”

Both the design and engineering services may be utilized as stand-alone businesses and may also be bundled with the architectural offerings at Steelbone, which include schematic design, 3-D digital imagery, feasibility analysis, LEEDS Certification assistance, project management, permitting services and more.

Graphic design services include creative, visual marketing, brand identity and web design and development. The engineering practice offers both structural and civil services from conceptual design through construction.

Mr. Stott is joined at Steelbone by creative directors Diana Pepi Stott and Darwin Verdugo, Resident Engineer Ed Armus, Associate Architect David Lomaga and Office Manager AnneMarie Clark.

Steelbone Design Company will remain at the former Flynn+Stott office space at 13 Main Street in Southampton. The telephone number is 283-1777 and the new website, still under construction, will be www.steelbone.com.
