Winners of the Southampton Rose Society’s members photography competition were announced at the annual Members Garden Party on Sunday, September 9, held at the home of Jack Pearson.

Dorothy Nigro’s “The Nigro Rose Garden” was named Best in Show and also took first place honors in the Rose Garden Class. That image included varieties such as New Dawn Climber, Elizabeth Taylor, Hybrid Tea, Pristine Hybrid Tea, Mr. Lincoln Hybrid Tea and Gemini Hybrid Tea.

Nicholas Kirkbride won first place in both the Single Rose Class, for “Fly with Taste,” and in the Freestyle Class, for “Beauty and the Beast: Crocodile and Mr. Lincoln.” His Single Rose entry was of a Tahitian Sunset Hybrid Tea and his Freestyle entry was of a Mr. Lincoln Hybrid Tea.

Second place winners included Helga Dawn in the Single Rose Class and the Freestyle Class and Harvey Feinstein in the Rose Garden Class. The competition was judged by Lyn Hamer and Diane Vahradian.
