Hamptons Employment Agency President Publishes Book On Hiring Domestic Help

authorStaff Writer on Jul 1, 2019

Aleksandra Kardwell, the founder and president of Hamptons Employment Agency, has poured her years of experience in domestic staffing into a new book.

“How to Find, Hire and Keep the Right Domestic Professionals: The Household Employer’s Guide to Hiring Great Employees Who Will Stay for Years” is designed to help domestic employers—whether managers, assistants or the principals themselves—establish parameters for their employee searches and to find the right people to meet their needs.

Topics includes conducting effective interviews, using background checks, making job offers that candidates will accept, how to keep effective employees for the long term, standard salaries for various domestic positions, legal considerations, and tax requirements.

Ms. Kardwell started Hamptons Employment Agency in 2011 to provide domestic help, such as chefs, housekeepers and chauffeurs, and event staff, including servers, bartenders and chefs. The business has grown to include offices in Southampton, New York City, Boston and Boca Raton.

The book is available to household employers for free as both an e-book and a printed book at hamptonsemployment.com.
