In Wainscott, the sale of a 1920s house on 1.6 acres closed at the end of June for $7.5 million.

The renovated and expanded residence at 15 Wainscott Hollow Road is 5,000 square feet with seven bedrooms, five full bathrooms and two partial baths. Located south of Montauk Highway among horse farm reserves, the house retains the best of its historic features, according to the listing.

Inclusive of the lower level, which offers a wine cellar, gym, media room, laundry and en-suite bedroom, the interior living space is 7,000 square feet. The main level has an open floor plan with a large living room, a dining room and an eat-in kitchen. Upstairs, the master bedroom suite has a walk-in closet and balcony that overlooks horse barns. Two more bedrooms are found above the attached garage.

The grounds feature a heated 20-foot-by-40-foot gunite pool, a tennis court and multiple seating areas. There’s a pool house, too.

Harald Grant of Sotheby’s International Realty in Southampton had the listing.

Deed transfer information provided by The Real Estate Report Inc. showed that the identities of both the seller and the buyer were shielded behind nondescript limited liability companies.
