Cosmetics pioneer Adrien Arpel has sold her 9.75-acre estate on Meadow Lane in Southampton Village for upward of $20 million, two years after the property featuring a Mediterranean-style residence was listed for $38 million.
The estate at 2020 and 1995 Meadow Lane has more than 500 feet of frontage on Shinnecock Bay and 165 feet of ocean frontage, with a heated pool on the ocean side and a new Omni tennis court on the bay side.
The 7,250-square-foot residence was built in 1983 and has been renovated, including a high-end ultramodern kitchen and brand new bathrooms.
The double-height entry has a spiral staircase; the formal dining room has water views on two sides; the library has a fireplace and bay views; the breakfast area has terrace and beach access; the master bedroom has a fireplace and ocean views with an en-suite bathroom with dual vanity, a large shower, a soaker tub and a water closet; and a guest suite has a fireplace and bay views. There are also two staff bedrooms with a full bathroom.
Among the amenities are a one-car garage, an elevator, a gazebo and a generator.
Associate broker Mark J. Baron had the exclusive listing for Saunders & Associates.
“Adrien is an amazing woman,” Mr. Baron said in a statement. “Her business acumen and real estate savvy made her a dream client. The buyer appreciates the Mediterranean style and grandeur of the home.”
