An oceanfront modern in Amagansett built in 1984 has sold for $9.5 million.

One 1 acre at 78 Shore Road, the 3,845-square-foot beach house has four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. An open living room and dining area has a double-sided fireplace and walls of glass looking out to the deck and the ocean. An eat-in kitchen features a bay window and Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, plus there is a walk-in pantry. Two bedrooms with a shared bathroom complete the main level.

An en suite primary bedroom with a private den that includes a doubled-sided fireplace makes up the top level. Decking offers both ocean and Napeague Bay views, and the bathroom has a double vanity, a deep soaking tub and shower and more ocean views.

The lower level has two dens, a bedroom, a full bathroom and is attached to the garage.

Outdoor amenities include an oceanside deck with a hot tub, a roof deck accessed by a spiral staircase, and a private walkway to the ocean beach.

“What a wonderful transaction — I live in this oceanfront neighborhood, so I know the area and seller well,” said listing agent Sue Schmidgall of Sotheby’s International Realty. “We launched this listing in the ‘undiscovered Dunes’ on a Thursday, had an open house and by Sunday, Marc Heskell of Saunders & Associates brought the buyer. He was a wonderful agent to work with and together we got the deal done seamlessly.”

The deal closed on November 16, according to The Real Estate Report Inc. The seller was Penelope Zangas Trust and the new owners are Nicholas and Maryann Kavallieratos.
