A Bridgehampton traditional sited atop a hill and abutting 30 acres of preserve land recently sold for $5.69 million, its full asking price.

At 3 Mill Path, the residence has 6,150 square feet of living space above ground plus an additional 1,300 square feet in the lower level. There are five bedrooms, six full bathrooms and two half-baths throughout.

Enter the double-height foyer with floor-to-ceiling windows and proceed to the great room with 25-foot-tall ceilings and a gas fireplace, — and surrounded by windows “inundating the room with natural light and mending the indoors with the landscaping and the serenity of its surroundings,” according to the Brown Harris Stevens listing.

The first floor continues with a formal dining room, and an oversized, renovated eat-in kitchen with custom cabinetry, quartzite countertops and a quartzite island. A den, a master bedroom, a powder room and laundry room round out the floor.

A staircase leads to a second-floor landing that overlooks the first. A bridge walkway captures the farm views. Find on the second floor a master suite with a lounge seating area and a balcony to enjoy farm views and a distant ocean view. The master has his and her bathrooms, including one with an soaking tub and bidet.

The second floor also hosts guest bedrooms and a junior master with double-height corner windows in each one, en-suite marble bathrooms and walk-in closets. The floor also has the home’s second laundry room.

The finished lower level with 9-foot ceilings has an additional bedroom with full bath, an open living room and dining area, a gym and a wet bar area.

Outside, a heated Gunite pool is surrounded by a backyard with a large deck for entertaining. Further amenities include an outdoor shower and attached 2 car garage.

Cristina Matos represented the seller, and Jane Babcook, also with Brown Harris Stevens, brought the buyer.

“In a region with so many beautiful properties, 3 Mill Path was a truly exceptional opportunity that provided everything the buyers were looking for,” Matos said. “It is centrally located, yet extremely private, due to the thoughtful landscaping and adjacent 30-acre preserve. Inside and out, the details are superb, the living spaces well-proportioned, and the overall feeling is one of absolute comfort and casual elegance. It was really no surprise that at a time of such limited inventory this property was in contract in less than three weeks.”
