After some updating and staging, 16 Amys Lane in East Hampton Village recently sold for $5.4 million.
The south of the highway home built in 1988 on a 1-acre-plus lot is 3,348 square feet with four bedrooms, and 5.5 bathrooms and offers additional space on the lower level. The property also includes a pool, and the listing noted the home is eligible for expansion and offered furnished with all-new furnishings.
Nick Brown of the Sotheby’s International Realty East Hampton office had the listing.
“The task of selling 16 Amys was a mixed bag,” Brown reported. “On one hand, the home presented an incredible opportunity to acquire a south of the highway property for an uncommonly affordable price, uncharacteristic of the neighborhood. Most potential buyers did not want to do work and were turned off by some of the dated finishes in the home. Additionally, since the home was unoccupied and shown unfurnished, it was hard to envision its true potential.
“With some coaxing, the owners agreed to renovate all the bathrooms, using master decorator Tracy Bross, as well as fully furnish the home with the super talented Iconic Modern Home stagers,” he continued. “The house sold at a strong price and both sellers and buyers were left very happy!”
The home was listed for $6.45 million in February and reduced to $5.9 million in May, then reduced again in July to $5.5 million.
The seller was Paul Cejas and the buyer was Doris Gillman, according to Suffolk Vision Inc., which said the deal closed on October 10.
Cejas purchased the property for $5.13 million in 2021.
