A vacant piece of land on County Road 39 in Tuckahoe will become the new warehouse and office space for RLW4 Builders, a commercial and residential construction company currently located off Hill Street in Southampton. The company recently broke ground on the 2.1-acre property.

The land is owned by 152 LLC, and RLW4 will serve as the general contractor for the holding corporation. At just under 14,000 square feet, the new single-story building will be an office and warehouse, with four rental spaces available. The building will have a metal frame, and the facade facing the highway will have cedar shingles, dormers and a wrap-around porch. The project is expected to be complete in a year.

Across the street, a new home-based business has set up shop on the corner of Tuckahoe Lane and County Road 39 just a few feet from the construction of a 50-unit condominium development known as Fairfield at Southampton. Owned by Andrew Roehrig and headquartered in Farmingdale, Hampton Houss sells high-end appliances, electronics and outdoor kitchen equipment, catering to builders, architects, designers, decorators and consumers.

“Southampton is such a hub and a wonderful community, and I see an opportunity for someone to cater to the East End and build a business with the developer, the decorator and the consumer,” said Mr. Roehrig, adding that he plans to provide individual attention to each client. “Our goal is to build a long-term rapport with our customers.”
