A 2.8-acre oceanfront property in Quogue that was billed as a development opportunity has sold for $7.9 million — so a new 10,000-square-foot residence with pool, tennis and a multi-car garage may already be on the way.
The address is 158 Dune Road, and a existing house there was just 2,200 square feet with four bedrooms and 2.5 baths with a pool.

The property had been listed in 2018 for $8.75 million with no takers, relisted in 2019 for $8.35 million and listed again in 2020 for $7.9 million, which did the trick.
The deal closed December 8, 2020, according to The Real Estate Report Inc., but the deed transfer was recorded only recently.
