A 2-acre property in Southampton Village’s estate section sold early this year for $8.15 million, with plans in place to replace the existing 1979 traditional shingled residence with a white and glass modern with a gray metal roof.
The address is 375 Ox Pasture Road and the parcel can yield 9,500 square feet of interior living space with nine bedrooms, nine full bathrooms and two half-baths, according to the listing. The estate can further accommodate a two-car garage, a pool and a tennis court.
Chris Coy of Barnes Coy Architects in Bridgehampton designed the new vision.
Alternatively, the existing residence can be renovated and the 40-foot-by-20-foot heated gunite pool kept in place.
A gravel driveway leads to a circular parking court and the front entrance, which opens to a double-height foyer, the listing states. The first floor boasts a wood-paneled library with a fireplace and built-in bar, and a living room with 10-foot ceilings, a fireplace and tall French doors to the gardens. Past the powder room, is a formal dining room that opens to an enclosed sun porch that, in turn, leads to the patio and pool. The kitchen has two dishwashers, stone counters, and access to the services entry, staff suite, and attached two-car garage.
Upstairs, the master suite is light-filled and has a fireplace, a dressing area, a master bath and multiple closets. Three more guest suites, two with sitting rooms, one with powder room, round out the top floor.
The lower level has laundry and storage.
The last asking price was $8.5 million, so the buyer got a 4.1 percent discount. According to The Real Estate Report Inc., the buyer is identified only as Ox House 1000 LLC, and the deal closed on February 2.
The longtime owner was Regina Greeven, the mother of Andrea Greeven Douzet and Cristina Greeven Cuomo and mother-in-law of CNN’s Chris Cuomo.
Harald Grant, Bruce Grant and Deborah Srb had the listing for Sotheby’s International Realty.
