Suffolk County Clerk's Office makes records accessible via website

author27east on Feb 2, 2009

Suffolk County Clerk Judith Pascale announced last week that her office has added the capability of retrieving land record information from 1987 to the present via the County Clerk’s website.

The information available is indexing information only, and does not contain images of the actual records. Property information is retrievable only by utilizing property tax map numbers.

“As county clerk, it has always been my goal to provide the best services to the residents of Suffolk County. By increasing the range of available land record data back to 1987, we have provided a safe and efficient means for the residents of Suffolk County to check their property information on-line without having to visit our office in Riverhead,” Ms. Pascale was quoted as saying in a press release issued by her office. “Furthermore, by limiting the information available to data only, we have ensured that the privacy concerns of residents remain paramount.”

The information added to this newly expanded system is the product of grants awarded to the Suffolk County Clerk’s Office from New York State and is made available at no additional cost to the taxpayer.

Residents can visit the Suffolk County Clerk’s website at www.SuffolkCountyNY.gov/Clerk for more information.
