We’re getting farther and farther away from the season for covered porches, which is probably why they’re on our mind. Come back, summer, please! Anyhoo, we “stumbled” upon a few that made us wonder what it would be like to enjoy an iced tea (or spiked beverage) while listening to the pitter-patter of summer rain on our fantasy porch. It’s safe to say it would be pretty sweet. Check these out!

1. Ox Pasture Road, Southampton, $28 Million

It probably goes without saying that this covered porch is like a dream. Not only does it have tons of comfy places to sit, there are large, floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that overlook a rose garden. A rose garden! We love the southern-belle, country-feel with white beams and wicker furniture. Need we say more? We think not. Listed with Corcoran.

2. Great Plains Road, Southampton, $25.8 Million

Based on the expansive landscaping this covered porch overlooks, it’s no surprise this house is located in the estate section of Southampton. We appreciate its traditional style and even more so, the screened windows. There’s nothing like being able to enjoy the great outdoors sans our biting insect friends. It also appears to connect to yet another covered porch area, which basically bumps this one up to epic porching status. Listed with Corcoran.

3. Dune Road, Quogue, $24.95 Million

This elegant porch appears to be ready for an impromptu dinner party. We’d follow that up with an impromptu dance party by the pool with a DJ, but we digress. The cedar ceiling and simple, draped chandelier are nice touches. So are all the loungey places to sit. Oh, and did we mention the outdoor fireplace? Yeah, we’d chill here, no problem. Listed with Corcoran.

4. Actors Colony Road, North Haven, $47.5 Million

Meet a porch that’s larger than our current residence. Entirely screened-in, it spans almost the full length of the house! You could do like 10 cartwheels in a row before hitting the other side. We couldn’t because we’d throw out our back, but we’d applaud your efforts. Overlooking what appears to be just a lovely landscape, this porch would be suitable to sip tea or wine or just plain live in. Listed with Douglas Elliman.

5. Country Charm, Quiogue, $4.49 Million

Now THIS is a covered porch where tea, preferably iced, should be had! It has all the trappings of country charm: white wicker furniture, pillars, and a fan (that probably doesn’t do much but sure looks cute!). We also love its wide, circular shape replete with an adorable white banister. Simply put, we heart this porch. Listed with Town and Country.
