A new barn-style modern home on a quiet cul-de-sac in Water Mill has sold for $11.5 million in a deal that closed April 30, according to The Real Estate Report Inc.
The cedar plank covered residence with smart home technology at 97 Wild Goose Lane was built with sustainable building materials. It has 8,100 square feet above ground and an additional 3,200 square feet below grade, a total of 11,300 square feet. Designed with indoor-outdoor living in mind, the home has two-story glass walls and covered porches.
The “enormous” master suite has a private office, and there are eight additional en suite bedrooms, according to the listing. With open field views, the 1.5-acre property also includes gardens, specimen trees, a tennis court, a pool and a pool house.
The developer purchased the property in 2018 for $4 million and razed the house that previously stood there.
Frank Bodenchak had the listing for Sotheby’s International Realty. It was last asking $12.5 million. The buyer’s identity was shielded by a limited liability company.
