Potter's New, New Vision for Sag Harbor Property

In recent weeks, developer Adam Potter announced new plans for a 1.4-acre site he owns in Sag Harbor Village, bounded by Rose and Bridge streets. Saying he had learned from criticisms of earlier proposals, Potter’s somewhat scaled-back plan includes retail space, 39 apartments, some of which would be designated as affordable housing, a community center, a performance venue, classrooms and a small park. This week, the editors and reporter Steve Kotz discuss the details of the new proposal and consider what might happen going forward.

Sag Harbor Village Police Reports for the Week of April 17

SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — Police were called to a boutique on Main Street late last Thursday afternoon where the shop owner said three teens had gone on a shoplifting spree, stealing several pieces of jewelry valued at a little over $200. When police arrived, two of the teens were still in the store, while the third was across the street. An officer escorted the teen who was outside the store back inside.
