Earth Day Celebration at SOFO on Saturday

The South Fork Natural History Museum’s annual Earth Day Celebration will take place Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the museum on Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike in Bridgehampton. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. there will be an array of children’s activities. A birding for beginners walk will start at 10:30 a.m., as well as face painting. The annual golf outing hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Southampton is set for Monday, June 9, at The Rock Golf Club in Wading River. “Technically complete but completely inadequate” is the best way to describe the draft environmental impact statement submitted to the Sag Harbor Village Planning Board regarding proposed development of 11 and 7 Bridge Street, aka the Potter project. Recently, the Village of North Haven hired a company to assess how to improve better cellphone coverage for our just over 900 residents [“North Haven To Explore Cellular Options,” 27east.com, April 15].
