Officers had been called to a bar on Main Street where a reported fight had taken place. Police checked the car’s registration on May 28 and found that it was active. A traffic control officer chalk-marked a tire to ensure that the car was in fact being used. SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — A Main Street apartment dweller called Village Police at about 6 a.m. on Saturday, concerned because she could hear a woman screaming from a neighboring apartment and banging on the walls. Police went to investigate, first visiting the caller’s apartment where, in fact, they could hear a woman screaming.
