SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — Village Police are investigating two incidents that occurred over the weekend at a Madison Street store. First on Saturday, it was reported that a child had left her wallet in the store. When employees turned the wallet back over to the child, who was with her mother, the child discovered that $40 had been removed from the wallet. The store’s management shared with police surveillance video, which showed that the very same person who had turned the wallet in had apparently opened it first and removed the $40. SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — Village Police responded to a report of construction being done on the Presidents Day holiday on Washington Avenue. An officer spoke with a foreman of the company that was doing the work, telling the foreman about the village code prohibiting such work on a holiday.
