Marienfeld, 65, a Sag Harbor resident, last Thursday night on multiple charges, including a misdemeanor charge of leaving the scene of a vehicular accident where there is physical injury. The injured party was a 15-year-old East Hampton teen, according to police, who was riding an e-bike north on Madison Street, near Susan Street. The accident occurred about 10 last Thursday morning. SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — Village Police arrested a Sag Harbor Village resident, Sofia Fernandez Nava, 27, last Thursday afternoon on a misdemeanor charge of petty larceny. It appears from the arrest report that Fernandez Nava made two classic mistakes, if in fact, she is guilty as charged: She did not look up to look for surveillance cameras, and she returned to the scene of the crime. SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — Village Police are investigating two incidents that occurred over the weekend at a Madison Street store. First on Saturday, it was reported that a child had left her wallet in the store. When employees turned the wallet back over to the child, who was with her mother, the child discovered that $40 had been removed from the wallet. The store’s management shared with police surveillance video, which showed that the very same person who had turned the wallet in had apparently opened it first and removed the $40. SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — Village Police responded to a report of construction being done on the Presidents Day holiday on Washington Avenue. An officer spoke with a foreman of the company that was doing the work, telling the foreman about the village code prohibiting such work on a holiday. The foreman explained that they were putting in a metal retaining wall, and that it would be hazardous to stop work before the wall was in place.
