SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — A couple who parked their car on Hampton Street near the elementary school, where they were picking up their child the afternoon of March 25, heard the sound of breaking glass as they walked away from the vehicle, and discovered that someone had smashed their rear passenger window with a rock. The officer who went to investigate was told by a person, apparently employed by the school, that a child had thrown a rock from the playground, causing the damage, and that the school would pay for repairs. SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — Police received a call reporting that a man wearing ripped clothing with a gun was on Main Street early morning Sunday. According to the report from Sag Harbor Village Police, almost immediately, before officers got to the scene, East Hampton Village Police dispatch contacted Sag Harbor and informed them that their department had immediate access to surveillance video of the area and that the surveillance video showed no one at the scene where the gunman was supposed to be. An officer went to the site where the officer found two laborers doing roofing work. SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — Village Police arrested Bruce M. Marienfeld, 65, a Sag Harbor resident, last Thursday night on multiple charges, including a misdemeanor charge of leaving the scene of a vehicular accident where there is physical injury. The injured party was a 15-year-old East Hampton teen, according to police, who was riding an e-bike north on Madison Street, near Susan Street. The accident occurred about 10 last Thursday morning.
