SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — Village Police arrested Anthony Colonia, 29, of Shirley this past week on a felony charge of grand larceny in the third degree. According to police, back in February, a Northwest Woods resident reported that she had paid Colonia, who was doing business as Pristine Painting Inc, via check, $5,800 as a down payment to paint the interior and exterior of her property. The check was handed to Colonia by the homeowner, police said, in Sag Harbor Village, making the alleged crime that department’s responsibility. SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — Village Police received a report on Thanksgiving morning that there was a possible break-in at a Hillside Drive West residence, where it appeared that the front door had been kicked in. An officer investigated and found that the house has been abandoned and is derelict. The door was slightly ajar, the officer reported, with some damage to the frame, but the interior, which the officer noted is unsafe to enter, was unoccupied. SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — Police were called to the Watchcase condo complex on Division Street regarding a complaint of road rage the morning of November 19. When police arrived, they found that the caller, a woman, was in her vehicle, and that another vehicle had blocked her into a parking space. Police spoke to the woman, as well as the man in the vehicle that was blocking her. The man told police that he had been driving down Division Street and that the woman had been tailgating him, before passing him. SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — The reported grand larceny of a Mercedes-Benz on September 13 from an auto repair shop on Hampton Street ultimately led to an arrest warrant being issued for Michael A. Rodriguez, 20, of East Hampton on a misdemeanor charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The arrest warrant was issued by Sag Harbor Village Justice Carl Irace on October 18 after a monthlong investigation by Village Police into the disappearance of the Mercedes-Benz.
