SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — The reported grand larceny of a Mercedes-Benz on September 13 from an auto repair shop on Hampton Street ultimately led to an arrest warrant being issued for Michael A. Rodriguez, 20, of East Hampton on a misdemeanor charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The arrest warrant was issued by Sag Harbor Village Justice Carl Irace on October 18 after a monthlong investigation by Village Police into the disappearance of the Mercedes-Benz. The investigating officer found National Grid workers on the scene, who told the officer that they were repairing a gas leak and had almost finished.
