Breakwater Yacht Club hosted its annual New Year’s Day Frostbite Regatta under balmy, blue-sky conditions. The air temperature was in the 50s, but with the water about the same, skippers donned drysuits to protect themselves from hypothermia in the event of a capsize. A brisk wind out of the west kept the action hot. Sunfish and state-of-the-art rockets were vying for right of way, especially at the windward and jibe marks.
